My Gift

is making me INSANE!!! This is the gift I got for the big birthday.... I am pulling me hair out over how to load songs into this one ounce of pure torture device. If one more person tell me how "EASY" it is to load, I will literally scream at decibles that will be heard around the world.

Happily if I can last only 5 more hours, to the rescue will be my 7 year old niece, Twinkle Toes to guide me lovingly into this new Techy world of IP*D. Oh how I hope she has had a great day today in Second grade and will have the patience of a Saint to show me!!!!

DH set up the program. I just move the songs onto the Ipod. It can be tricky but once you see how it is done, you will be loading tons of songs.

I have to chuckle that your niece is coming to help you. Kids today know SO much!

Keep smilin!

When i got mine, it wouldnt set up. It turned out to be defective and had to be returned. call tech support and then bring home a new one.

Oh no!! I just bought myself one as a belated birthday present too. Now I'm worried I won't be able to figure it out. I can't wait to use it but am not looking forward to the work of loading the songs.

Yeah... it's not easy, especially if you're a PC user. It's got a very Apple interface.

The best thing I did was change the settings to NOT synch with the itunes program. What a pain that was!

I agree with wicked witch. My first one WOULD NOT download. I spent hours trying to figure it out.

I took it back to the store and they said, "oh this one is defective". Talk about frustrating. The new one is a snap to load. (Sorry, I know you don't want to hear that.) :)

Good luck! I hope your niece can get it to work.

I was afraid to comment and then saw hedgetoad's comment. That explains it!

I am a die-hard Mac girl and I don't remember batting an eye at set-up....DON'T SCREAM. Your niece will get you through and you'll love it.

It has taken me since Christmas, and I still don't have it down. When you figure it out, maybe you can tell me!!

Well----if you do have questions, email me. I've had 2. And I am NOT someone who can figure things out easy...

Had to laugh! I have been wanting one - especially after my daughters' Chinese tutor told me about a great language learning tool available as a pod cast. However - not in the budget at this time - and even if it was - I am tech challenged!

I had to laugh at that because I am your ipod illiterate twin. Can't, for the life of me, figure it out. My Hubs is a techy so I don't "need" to know which really just means I am too lazy to try. The best thing happened the other day. My 5 year old was telling my Hubs, the computer programming wizard and "all things tech" guru how to set up a particular thing on the x-box 360. Wish I had it on video. Good luck with the ipod madness. ipod.com is a good resource too if you ever have that "freeze up" thing happen.

I'm thinking of getting one of these too...it may come in handy for the China flight.

Pay attention to Twinkle Toes because YOU may have to teach me!
