WHAT THE???

I just got done buying a loaf of high fiber bread from a bread shop for $6.00. Two weeks ago the same loaf of bread was $4.50.

My voluptuousness will attest to this.... Those who know me, know I love me a good pastry and frosting. I headed to a favorite German pastry cottage to "reward myself" for some dumb thing. The cupcakes, with butter cream frosting, (YUMMMM) I usually buy is now $1.45!!! Last time think I paid 78 cents! I can see a decrease of such guilty pleasures in my near future. I know I need to lose weight and save money anyway, so this will definitely be a little bump forward on this plan.

I just took some money out of my savings account to fill the car with gas ($43.00) and to buy a bag of flour and rice at C*ostco. The 25 lb bag of flour was available, the bag of rice was not. Stories have it, there is a rice shortage and C*ostco cannot seem to keep bags of rice on their shelves. I really need to watch the news a little more around here, I guess.

I'm wondering if we are heading for desperate times when I cannot drive to my favorite pastry place and buy a cupcake without feeling like I have to post about it????

It's hard to get wheat, too. I guess I will have to live on diet soda and home grown carrots. Don't deny yourself a splurge...those look yummy!

I've noticed that the price of milk has gone up too. Stopped off at a party store to grab a gallon and it was $4.35. Didn't it used to be $2 something? Gosh, I could use one of those cupcakes to go with my milk........

I know you have supurb taste....so email me and tell me where you get your cupcakes. And food prices are a joke, but notice next time you see me...my behind is still large. Do you get days off so we can get together or are weekends the best?

Yeah, all that money we're paying the farmers to not grow food.....and then to use what they do grow to make bio-fuel....

Don't even get me started! ;o)

Time to clip coupons again and start cking the sales. The bread I buy Has gone up to 4.00 and milk is over 4.00 if you don't get it on sale. Those cupcakes look great and I say we all need a treat sometimes.. I just bought a cake mix on sale for 1.00 and figure I can doctor it up and make it taste really good... The times they are a changing, to quote an old song. Have to get used to saving again.. Good Luck.. What a great idea to take a trip to Paris.. It's a good thing to reward yourself for this long wait.... Linda

I hear you...between gas and food prices, we're really starting to feel the pinch!

I would pay $5 for one of those cupcakes right now though!

I was your comment on Missy blog and put it together! It was nice to see you yesterday. We have a Dippidee in American Fork there cupcakes are so so good! The food and gas prices are crazy.

I have been sad since hearing about the children in China we talked about yesterday. I keep thinking about it. I have never looked in to it before. I just can't understand why things have to be like this. It brakes my heart. I read a few of your posts. I feel like I know you better now. I'm praying for you that Tate will come to you soon. She will have a wonderful family.
