TOO EARLY FOR CHRISTMAS

What is it this year with all this pre Thanksgiving Christmas stuff??? On at least three separate radio stations Christmas music is blasting..... ALL.DAY.LONG. I am driving my car in silence.

This Thursday NOVEMBER 2oth I will be attending my first Christmas party..... CHRISTMAS PARTY!!!! I would boycott this party IF I didn't love the people throwing it soooooo much. At a loss with what to wear for this party? Something yummy Autumny-Thanksgiving inspired duds or a shimmering sparkle Christmas frock???? Perhaps my old stand-by sweats.....

TOO EARLY for all this Christmas stuff!!!

I LOVE the Christmas music in November! I'm one of those people that starts listening exclusively to Christmas music November 1st. It was quite a shock to Eliza when her music was out and mine was in! Now she asks for Christmas music while we're driving.

I agree. It just gets earlier and earlier every stinkin' year. One holiday at a time.....PLEASE!

Heh...with our Thanksgiving being over a month ago I'm ready for the Christmas stuff. Will you still be my friend if I tell you I hunted for an 'all Christmas' station on the radio this weekend and was disappointed when I didn't find one.

Have fun at your party Thursday!

Yeah, I heard Christmas Carols in some stores the day after Halloween. At this rate, Christmas in July may become a reality.

What a Scrooge!

Just kidding...I love the holiday season, but it does seem to start earlier every year.

We don't have Thanksgiving - so it's not unusual to see Christmassy things in Nov, here!! We have our Christmas pagaent the first Sat in Nov... the last float is Santa ~ so Santa is "officially" in town! You'd be horrified... I always put my Christmas tree up Pagaent day!!! I love Christmas!

It doesn't help that we are having such warm weather. Makes it feel like fall rather than Thanskgiving/Christmas.

I wait until after Thanksgiving to listen to the music. But I understand your feelings!

Oh. I. Am. So. With. You. Sistah.

I find all this pre-Christmas-pre-Thanksgiving hype so obnoxious. I love the idea of just giving thanks.

Unfortunately, like everything else, I'm afraid this year's pre-holiday promotional intensity is due to our current economy.

I'm just guessing, but I bet stores are getting an early jump on holiday sales to make up for anticipated lost revenue.

So the upside might be mo smokin' deals on gifts and gas prices. :) At last, a break for us poor, beleaguered consumers!

This year, with everything that is happening, we may have to decide to forgive the premature promotion of Christmas ...as much as I hate to admit it. :)
