ALL THE WAY FROM FLORIDA.....

My sister... KELLY!!!

When she surprised us at Christmas time, she realized that our parents are aging. I guess when you live away from a situation, you are more aware of the changes that happen on a daily basis. In all of us kids minds we see our parents fun, vital and youthful. We are lucky that at age 74 (Mom) or 79 (Dad) they are healthy, vibrant, fun people. But still they are getting older. I am so glad that my sister can have the time and income to fly home more often.

It's Kelly time ... she is a real organized, clever and imaginative person.

All the way from Florida she has organized a baby shower for ME and TATE. She has put our sister-in-law, five nieces and our Mom on "task". Mom (Nana) was suppose to dip fortune cookies in chocolate. I guess my dad felt left out and decided to be the one to dip the fortune cookies. How cute is that?! He did such a great and delicious job, he ended up eating quite a bit of the cookies.... Yesterday more fortune cookies were bought and he will be dipping a lot more. Extras were bought so he will have the opportunity to nibble to his hearts content.

All the way from Florida, Kelly came for some sister time.... lunch and a movie. We dragged my dad with us. We went to see Slum dog Millionaire. I was so worried that Dad would not like this type of movie. He loves anything war and the typical guy movie. He actually really loved it. Word from Kelly was he even shed a tear or two at the end. I loved the movie... no tears however from me.

Tomorrow is the shower..... No worries.... I will be taking tons of pictures and sharing.

I am so excited you are having a shower! It makes that time seem so much closer to seeing your sweet Tate. I meant to email you the other day to tell you about my dream. I was getting on the computer and of course the first thing I always do is check in on my Tate-r-bug. When I pulled up your site there she was, our (of course I want to claim her too!)beautiful Tate! I can still see her beautiful face. I couldn't believe she was on there with the heading, Tate arrives early, referrals go from March 7 - March 27! It was so funny when I got up and still had that feeling that Tate was here. But hey, it won't be long now! You better believe I will be sitting here waiting to see that first glimpse on referral day and I am sure that you won't be the only one with tears in your eyes. Have a wonderful shower, I can't wait to see all of the loot that Tate gets. Oh, have a wonderful time with your sister and make sure Dad doesn't get sick on the fortune cookies! I also wanted to tell you how beautiful the floors are!

What a wonderful weekend for you! Enjoy your shower tomorrow! Can't wait to see pics of all the fun and all the wonderful gifts that Tate will receive! Neato!!

Saw Slumdog Millionaire Thursday night. Not an easy movie to watch but very well done and I'm glad I saw it. I went with my parents and that was neat as I'd gone to India on a missions trip for 3 1/2 months at age 19. I can just say that what they showed was very similar to 1986. I was surprised how similar it is now. Good movie!

Have fun tomorrow friend! yay...a shower for TATE!!!!! You've waited so long friend and people want to honor you! :o)
