TRYING TO MAKE A DIAMOND OUT OF LUMP OF

POOP!!!!

Well, it is not official and the mighty CC*A has not changed it's screen making the official cut of for referral February 15 2006.... To quote Shannon "UGGGGGGGGGG" about sums it up. In the effort to maintain my state of LALA land, just wanted to put a positive spin of what I think the mighty CC*A is trying to do..... Bare with me as I plead this case in point.

  • The month of September we received two referral batches..... a fairly hopeful (Feb 1-9 '06) batch at the beginning of this month just after the Olym-pics and another hopeful (Feb 10-15 '06) batch just before a holiday break..... Hummmmmm...... 15 day of referrals were given out in the month of September..... 15 days would be considered 1/2 of a month! I like to believe that the CC*A is giving out half months of referrals at this time.....

This is little stretch of reality, I know, but it does make things seem just a little easier..... Don't ya think?.

SHEESH ZAM.... I can't neglect saying "my heart goes out to the families who were sooooo close, February 16 and 17 and beyond..... but take comfort in knowing YOU ARE NEXT!!!"

I'm right there with you sista! I'm thinking (HOPING) that we might see another batch at the end of October, end of November, end of December AND end of January. AND I want in no later than the end of January batch. I'm serious....No later!! Earlier, YES....NOT later! The fact that we saw two batches in September is the only thing that stopped my attitude from taking a total dive today.

Every month... all I think is... please don't let it ever be two days again. I think you are winning the good attitude contest. :)

Doncha just love the math tricks we start to play to rationalize as we get closer??? I do it too.

I'll go with that math! Bring it on! Quite an eloquent quote of mine, doncha think?! =)

keep your chin up! I know you must be frustrated by the slow speed of referrals, but you have such an awesome attitude! I hope maybe there is a speed up soon!

To answer your question about Lily's dress, I got it from Mini-Boden.

LOVE the way you think!

Unfortunately the next batch of referrals probably won't come until the end of October, but if there are 15 days in that batch I'd be ECSTATIC!!!!!

It's just got to speed-up....at least a little bit!

And I'll quote Shannon, too...UUUGGGGHHHHH!

LOL...you and I look at things from 2 different angles and both works for each of us. My heart goes out to those with a February 17th LID but I'm ok with the 6 day referral batch. At this rate you're still 3 full months of referrals ahead of me which is wonderful for you! You'll be home from China with Tate in your arms before I receive Hannah's referral. God has a time friend and He is preparing Tate especially for YOU!!

At this point in the waiting game, I remember thinking anything was a day closer and even a day was better than nothing. I hope for you and Tate and all those waiting that the days will get greater. I have all my fingers, toes, eyes, etc crossed.

Welllll- No matter how you add it up we are all getting there.

We are good with NEXT. At least this time we are pretty darn sure. And we have another month to clean closets.

Gosh, for the sake of all my friends who are still waiting, I hope and pray with all my heart that this is finally the point where things start to speed up! Could it be? Dare we even speak those words aloud?
