SHE'S OFF....

and running!!!! We left for NY (Newark) on Tuesday.... this is the group who saw us off at the airport. My traveling posse and cast of characters would be brother, John (starting from far right to left), SIL and fellow Paris traveling companion, Michelle, then me, and beautiful Mom , Sunny, and Tate's middle namesake. I am pretty proud at how well we packed for this trip!!!

My fun loving 79 year old dad or Gramps, will be holding down the fort with two VERY busy TEENS and one tween.... Smiley, Twinkle Toes and Sparkle. Smiley has the most important task to get Tate's car seat put in correctly and have it checked out by the fire station.

Just a quickie while I wait for my first class seat from NY to Beijing!!!

Next will be from CHINA!!!!

can't wait to see those China posts from you! Hope your flight went well! Looks like you are Well stocked for your travel crew! My advice in Guangzhou: Cow and the bridge next to the Victory hotel. they do fast takeout. Fast, hot, not very expensive. Taste is....good, not awesome, but fast, hot and takeout is vital in those first few weeks!!! I did love the Lychee fried rice though! Can't wait to see pics of you with little Tate at last!

I second the Cow and Bridge recommendation...my girls with third, fourth and fifth it! ;o) They loved Cow and Bridge and we ate there every single day we were in Guangzhou at least once! Make sure you try the shrimp cakes! Yum!! Danny's Bagels has yummy pizza for nights you just want to stay in too! Don't forget to get off island! Take a walk to the "walking mall." Not too far and really fun to see real China! I'm glad to hear that your taking the train too! That is the BEST way to experience China IMHO. ;o) Can't wait to see Tate in your arms!

I almost can't breath, I'm so excited for you!!!! I have those all important airport pics from my adoption ...and can still feel my excitement when I look at them. Our flight was cancelled and we had to scramble to get on another which caused our luggage to get lost....but there was NO WAY I was not getting to my baby that day!! That is the same joy I can feel in your pictures and post. Can't wait to see more!
